The Service

The Farming Footprints service is a computer-based tool that enables the farmer to calculate the carbon performance of his crop and to measure that performance against other farmers in similar growing situations.

It is a simple service comprising the following steps:

Step 1

> Farmer provides field-based input data for all energy crops

Step 2

> Farming Footprints input the data & calculates the carbon intensity of the crop.

> Farmer receives certificate proving carbon footprint

Step 3

> Farmer uses the information to negotiate added value for his crop.
